Here is your weekend homework:

2. practice your poem for the poetry recital contest on Wednesday
3. Study for Monday's chapter 4 math test.  You have review questions for this, but you also need to remember your area formulas - use your flashcards! :)
4. Kiva paragraph:  we need to choose who to sponsor on Kiva.  I would like you to go to the Kiva website http://www.kiva.org/ and click on the "lend" button.  Look through the profiles under the "food" and "agriculture" categories and choose a person you think we should lend to.  Your task is to write a convincing paragraph that explains why you think we should lend to that person. Your paragraph should use details such as what they will use the money for, how much they need to raise, and how the money will help them feed themselves and others as supporting details.

Here is your weekend homework:

3. Preparing for our bake sale.  You might want to bake for the sale over the weekend to save you time on Monday/Tuesday.  Be sure to keep baked items in the fridge or freezer to keep them fresh.
4. FSA Online Practice tests: Reading and Numeracy
Instructions:

1. go to https://www.awinfosys.com/eassessment/fsa_sample.htm
2. Select Surrey as your school district
3. You will need to complete both the Grade 7 Numeracy and Reading exams
4. Use calculators, paper/pen, a dictionary, and a thesaurus to help you
5. Take your time!  Read the instructions/questions carefully, work out problems and review the stories/poems/articles you read - treat this practice test like the real test.
6. At the end of each test you will get a score sheet, please e-mail that score sheet to me.  It is very important that I get the whole sheet - right click and save the image, then attach that into an e-mail OR hit the print screen button on your keyboard (prt scr) and paste the image into Paint and save it that way.
