Here is your weekend homework:

2. bring 2-3 different looking rocks to school on Monday (small rocks are perfect, they don't need to be large)
3. Your geometric art assignment is due on Monday. You need to hand in both parts, the highlighted and labelled page as well as your artwork.
4. Performance day play auditions are on Monday.  If you are interested in playing the role of the grandfather, grandson, donkey, or narrators please prepare a scene for auditions.

2. Make sure your 8.2 softcover (all questions) and 8.2 hardcover questions 1,2b,3,5 (p. 305) are complete
3. Your science fair boards need to be completed and at school tomorrow.  Also, by Thursday you will need to be able to answer questions about your project without looking at your board (see the questions I listed on your weekend homework post).

Here is your weekend homework:

1. 20 minutes on your reading log each day
2. Math 8.1 hard cover questions 1-6 on page 302
3. Choose and practice spelling words for your spelling quiz on Tuesday
4. Finish your Science Fair display board and practice your presentation.  You should be able to answer the following questions without looking at your board:

• what was your research question?
• what did you learn from your research?
• what was your hypothesis?
• how did you conduct your experiment?
• how did you design your experiment to test your hypothesis?
• what did you observe during the experiment?
• was your hypothesis correct? Why or why not?
• how does your conclusion impact people - why is it important?

Tonight's homework:

1. You have already read quite a bit today, so you do not need to record any reading on your reading log
2. HACE questions in preparation for tomorrow's class:

• Define the terms stereotype, prejudice, and discrimination
• List stereotypes you have heard before - make sure to include some stereotypes about gender/gender roles (all men..../all women.../men should.../women should...)

3. Make sure you have edited and printed everything you need for your science fair display board - we will be assembling it tomorrow - Simren, if you are not going to be at school tomorrow you need to send the information you took home to Karan and Jovan.
