Homework Wednesday, November 19, 2014
Tonight's homework:
1. You do not need to add to your reading log tonight because we read so much in school, but I strongly encourage you to use tonight to get a head start on your Hunger Games homework while it is fresh in your mind...
Read chapters 2-3 and complete the following activities:
a. Journal response… Describe Katniss’s relationships with Gale, with Prim, and with her mother. Why does she say this about Peeta, “I feel like I owe him something, and I hate owing people”? How do you think her early encounter with Peeta will affect their relationship after they are chosen as tributes?
b. Use the blank map of Panem (North America) I gave you. Using information from chapter 3 and research about the Appalachian and Rocky Mountain regions, label where you think the Capitol and District 12 are.
2. Bring an article to class tomorrow
3. Someone from your Peace Week group needs to bring a light coloured poster board to class tomorrow
Have a great evening!
